I just got the albums “Punk Mambo!” and “Hardcore Juju” by Babaloo. I discovered them while browsing CD Baby, and after listening to the samples I had to buy those CDs immediately.
The songs are variously described as “punk mambo”, “hardcore juju”, “Irish cha-cha”, “Freestyle mambo/salsa”, “Caribbean”, “Reggae”, “ska/cheese”, “arabic-punk/mambo”, among other combinations. Lots of fun & a bit weird.
