I just got word that my mom is in the hospital with fluid in her lungs. She’s had to use oxygen at home for a while & she’s had a lot of trouble breathing for the last week, so she went to see the doctor today. He put her in the hospital right away.
She was a heavy smoker for most of her life, but she quit smoking over 10 years ago and hasn’t smoked since then. Her health has been poor for the last 5 years, since she developed Guillain-Barre, which she never fully recovered from. She now has to use a walker and has a nurse during the day when I’m not around. I moved to Florida when she got sick, so I could be available when she needed me.
