I just discovered that my RSS feed at MacMegasite has been broken for a few days, due to incorrect file permissions.
I notice that the number of visitors, hits, and article read count has been down drastically for the last week, and I see how much I depend on the RSS feed to attract visitors. It seems that many of our visitors use the RSS feed to notify them of updates.
I just replaced the banner at MacMegasite with Google text ads, which should load faster and pay for every click.

I really wish I didn’t have to go to MacHack. I have several work deadlines that I can’t complete before MacHack, and I go to WWDC right after it. Unfortunately it would cost me too much to change my airline reservations now – I’ve already changed it once.
I’m looking for a way to get out of this trip.
Everyone should be on the same subnet at MacHack & WWDC, right? Therefore we should all be able to see each other’s iTunes 4 playlists 🙂

I really like MacCentral’s new summary view, which shows a summary of each story on a single page instead of only the headlines.
I notice that iTunes Music Store’s 30 second previews are nearly useless when you have multiple live versions of the same song (look at Pearl Jam for a good example), since many of them are indistinguishable since it doesn’t include any of the unique riffs from that performance.
