Vancouver day 1

I got up at 5AM to get ready for my trip. The wireless connectivity in Fort Lauderdale airport was intermittent. I did see two other shared music libraries in iTunes and someone with a white iBook G4. Several people next to me and in surrounding rows on the flight had iPods.

I really hate LAX. You would think gates 33 & 47 would be fairly close, but I had to take two shuttle busses to get to my connecting flight. Two people sitting in the row in front of me on the flight to Vancouver had MacBook Pros.

I was surprised to see a lot of Toyota Prius taxis in Vancouver. I was supposed to have my Prius last week, but it still hasn’t arrived. Hopefully it will be there when I get home.

Going to Vancouver

I’m leaving for Vancouver tomorrow morning, so posting will probably be light for the next week. Our whole company is going to be there for various meetings & other events.

I'm getting a Prius

My Toyota dealer notified me that they finally obtained a Prius for me. Unfortunately it won’t arrive for about 2 weeks. They were able to give me the full details including the VIN and it’s pre-sold to me.

Going Hybrid

I scheduled a test drive in a new Toyota Prius this weekend, when I also plan to order it. Even though I don’t do that much driving, I still want to do my share to save gas, plus I really like the Prius. Two of my neighbors already have one.

Prayers Needed

One of my favorite people is very sick. He suddenly developed a fast growing brain tumor. He was always very lively, but when I saw him a few days ago he was in a wheelchair. He had a radiation treatment Tuesday morning, but today he took a turn for the worse. We’re all thinking of him and praying for his recovery.

Lucas and his partner have a very friendly Jack Russell terrier that everyone here loves. After Hurricane Wilma, he entertained us every night with his stories as we sat around the pool with no electricity. He usually plays Santa at our Christmas parties.

Sorry I haven’t had a chance to write much lately. I’ve been digging very deeply into IOKit & EFI so I’ve been buried in documentation & code. Today I’ve also had to do one of my least favorite things: writing documentation.
