I just set up a pretty eclectic play list in iTunes for my listening pleasure as I work the rest of the afternoon.

iTunes has changed the way I listen to music. I almost never listen to an actual CD. Instead, I can pick & choose any tune I want in any order. If I couldn’t keep them on my drive as MP3 files (which the record companies would like to prevent us from doing), I’d need to keep all of my CDs in a big, bulky jukebox.

The play list I’m now listening to includes Afro-Celt Sound System, Baaba Maal, Ali Farka Toure, Johnny Clegg, Enya, Clannad, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Gorillaz, Goo Goo Dolls, Paul Simon, and Bob Marley among others.

Hint: never call OTAllocMemInContext if Open Transport hasn’t been initialized. Your application will die a horrible death, causing the debugger to freeze as well. I spent most of the morning as well as most of yesterday afternoon tearing my hair out over that one.

Although it might be a little of the mainstream META-postings, I chose to post this piece of Soulwax music (MP3) because I really want to hear your reactions. The energy attained in this synergetic combination exceeds even math rock. [MetaFilter]

It would be nice if

It would be nice if PHPNuke supported Blogger API or some other method of remote posting, since their story editor really sucks. If and when I get a chance, I may start hacking at it.

Is it possible to route only one particular channel from Radio via Blogger API? It would be really cool if I could add a MacMegasite channel and have anything going to that channel automatically posted at MacMegasite.

CodeWarrior keeps freezing on me

CodeWarrior keeps freezing on me so often, that I finally added the following alias to my .cshrc:

alias killmw 'kill `ps ax | grep Metrowerks | head -1 | awk '"'"'{print $1; }'"'"'`'

I'm starting to get used

I’m starting to get used to debugging from the terminal window with GDB. Unless I’m missing something, there doesn’t seem to be a way to pass a command line to the executable from CodeWarrior’s debugger, and I can’t use ccommand() in a Mach-O binary. I need to pass my application a single argument telling it what kind of connection to establish, which as far as I can tell I can only do if I run it from the terminal.
